After practising and studying yoga for many years, she began her career in children’s yoga teaching it in gym classes, as a volunteer at lunch break with Primary Grade students, and in a Junior-Senior Kindergarten class, at a local school.  Becoming a professionally accredited member of the International Kundalini Teachers Association, she launched her After School Yoga Clubs through the Community Education Program,  expanding into daytime Kinder groups as well.  Her musical expertise is woven into the fabric of her classes, merging the benefits of classic yoga poses and supportive activities with the joyous, healing energy of sound current.  She provides classes for adults as well, and guest teaches for Sat Dharam Kaur N.D. at Trillium Healing Arts Centre, and for special events held there.  Through Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga in the Western World, she has been bestowed with the spiritual name of Livjot Kaur, which means ‘Lioness of God walking with grace and power, devoted to the light of her soul’.  Livjot is currently writing a guide book for teachers, about Kundalini Yoga for children.
